My Transition Story and Queering Mental Health

Updates on Content and Upcoming Talks

Hello friends,

I hope this message finds you well. I'm excited to share some info about my latest online content, upcoming events, and updates on our growing family.

My Transition Journey: A New Video

I’ve been working hard to post new content every week to my YouTube channel. This past Sunday, I shared a deeply personal story all about my transition. From my early days of articulating my identity, to navigating the challenges of coming out, to embarking on my medical transition at 18, I share the hurdles and joys that have shaped my path. These kind of videos meant everything to me when I was young and questioning. Sharing my own journey is my way of paying it forward.

The video is called “Reflections of a Trans Teen.” I welcome your thoughts and questions—feel free to leave them in the comments section of the video. Additionally, if there are topics you'd like me to explore in future videos, please share your suggestions!

Upcoming Panel at the Queering Mental Health Conference

I'm honored to announce that I'll be participating in the Queering Mental Health Conference. This virtual conference brings together practitioners, advocates, and culture-creators to spark conversations and generate new knowledge about the mental health of 2SLGBTQ+ communities across Canada.

I will be part of a panel discussion on Queer Parenting scheduled for Friday, April 25th, 11:00 AM EST. This session will explore the unique joys, and challenges, experienced by queer parents. Personal Update: Growing Our Family

Lastly, as many of you have seen, we are preparing to welcome our second child into the HAMR family. We've been busy creating a cozy space for the new baby and helping our first prepare to become a big sibling. For those who've inquired about how to support us during this exciting time, we've set up a baby registry. While we do not expect any gifts, we welcome them with gratitude.

Thank you, so much, for your continued support. I look forward to sharing many more exciting updates in the coming weeks and months.

With care,

Markus
